Artist Notes: This piece is part of my ongoing "stamp" series. Begining in 2008 the painted records have been left at various locations around New York City for the public to interact with and take. They bring together my love of popular music, graffitti, political freedom protest posters and gurilla advertising. They are an exercise in non-destructive street art and further my continuing experimentation with the fluctuating concept of the "value" of art. Influences for the work include the artists James DeLaVega, Ted Riederer, Ignacio "Iggy" Velez, Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, John Lennon, and Paul McCartney of The Beatles.
