Artist Notes: This piece is part of my "Urban Spells and Rituals" series which isolates elements of urban life and portrays them as ritualistic icons, symbols and energy directive maps. They explore the idea that a painting can double as a talisman or totem to focus the viewers thought energy toward attaining a specific goal. Influences for the work include Native American Kachinas, VooDoo / Pagan / Medicine man tools and container markings, and pop art minimalism
